Arlington Echo Outdoor Education Center is looking for you to work as the volunteer coordinator as a Volunteer Maryland AmeriCorp Member. Duties will include but are not limited to updating and managing all the volunteer files for the various volunteer program opportunities, recruitment, training, and scheduling volunteers for various programs, managing high school special needs volunteers weekly, schedule and work with land stewards that work on environmental programs at our base camp, communicate and evaluate the “Eco Buddy” volunteers which work at the 85 elementary schools in Anne Arundel County and much more.
Applicants must interview with both Arlington Echo Outdoor Education Center and Volunteer Maryland and when hired follow both agency’s requirements which include background checks and fingerprinting. The position includes a $16,502 stipend which is paid out throughout the service year and an additional $6,495 education award at the completion of your service year.
