Wetlands Watch, in collaboration with Virginia Sea Grant (VASG), is seeking a graduate or upper level undergraduate student for the summer (12-weeks, ~June to August) to update and develop Wetlands Watch’s”citizen action” website guide, with a special focus on a Virginia guide to wetlands and shoreline regulations.This is a paid position ($5,000) located in Norfolk, VA with additional work in the field in coastal Virginia.

The selected intern will be updating and further developing the Citizen Action page of a web-site to empower citizen engagement in wetlands conservation and restoration. The intern will conduct desk-based research, interview with decision-makers, develop web formats and presentation of information, and generate creative ideas for outreach (social media, you-tube, etc.). In addition, the intern will be involved in a range of resilience projects that Wetlands Watch is conducting in coastal Virginia.
