Work for Progress seeks a Recruiter: someone interested in helping us win in 2018 by recruiting talented candidates for our election offices. Applicants should be friendly, organized, politically savvy, and creative. You will be recruiting field staff that will work in districts across the country to increase voter participation in 2018.

We know, when presented with the choice, that a majority of Americans want to reign in Wall Street, protect our environment, and ensure basic human rights for all. Yet, almost twice as many people shopped on Black Friday last year than voted in the 2014 mid-term elections.

This fall, Work for Progress is partnering with some of the most effective grassroots organizations – including Fair Share Action, Environment America Action Fund and the Community Voters Project – to put boots on the ground in key battle-ground states across the country to register and mobilize voters to the polls in 2018.

Apply to be a recruiter with Work for Progress and help us staff up some of the largest independent field efforts in 2018.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Candidate Outreach: Identify and contact top candidates, interviewing them and assisting with final placements.
  • List-building:Create and manage a list of new recruits.
  • Networking and Communications:Oversee, create, and coordinate online advertising, social media, and recruitment materials for career fairs, conferences, and events. Help our recruitment team aggressively pursue new and innovative recruitment ideas, and work with our client organizations to test these ideas and to implement the most effective strategies.
