The Chesapeake Research Consortium (CRC) is a partnership of 6 leading research institutions in the Chesapeake watershed (www.chesapeake.org) and encourages scientific and technical activities in the Chesapeake Bay, its drainage basin, adjoining airshed, and adjacent coastal waters of the Middle Atlantic Bight. The Consortium is primarily supported by grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts with government agencies and departments as well as some private firms; there are no fund-raising for endowment nor marketing activities. The office provides a friendly working environment and participation in a team commitment to facilitate regional basic and applied science and the transfer of that information to inform science-based management for the restoration of the bay.Read more
