Leopold Education Project: Facilitator TrainingRead more
The Leopold Education Project (LEP) is an innovative, interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education curriculum based on the essays in A Sand County Almanac.
Facilitator Trainers participate in a twenty-hour course that helps educators in formal and non-formal settings adapt lessons to suit not only particular student groups and venues, but also various teaching and learning philosophies that match closely with your agency or school system’s requirements and mission. Trainers receive practice in using the curriculum with adult educators. Sessions for record keeping, administration, materials ordering, and marketing the program are included. The sixteen-hour training event takes place over two days to include an evening session. Participants have the opportunity to stay on-site. Meals are included. Overnight accommodations available.
