Project Clean Stream is a regional stream cleanup taking place in Central Maryland and the Eastern Shore. In 2009, over 2,600 volunteers removed more than 250,000 pounds of trash from local streams. In 2010, Project Clean Stream will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010, starting at 9 AM through 12 Noon. Project Clean Stream volunteers imporve theri community by removing trash, tires and other discarded items from area streams and nearby roadsides. Project Clean Stream is coordinated by the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and supported by a grant from the Chesapeake Bay Trust. Partnering organizations include local watershed associations and regional county staff.
