Jen created a map that visually displays the result of changing the A-1 subdivision rules from the 1995 version to the 2007 sliding scale version. The map on the left showing the potential for subdivision up until new zoning rules for A-1 in 2007 and the map on the right showing potential divisions post 2007. Points to discuss would include 1. the A-1 rule revision did substantially reduce the amount of fragmentation that could take place in the A-1 which takes a step in the right direction with regard to protecting the rural character of the County, inline with the goals of the comp plan. 2. the pockets of more intense development opportunity show the places that should be focuses of development with regard to services etc because they allow more intense development.
