The goal of the Chesapeake Bay Stewardship Fund is to accelerate local implementation of the most innovative, sustainable and cost-effective strategies for restoring and protecting water quality and vital habitats within the Chesapeake Bay watershed. To achieve this goal, the Foundation engages in grant making, provides technical assistance to grantees, facilitates networking and information sharing among grantees, and has launched an initiative to more effectively monitor project success and assess program impact.
