Video 2 – Building People Power
On May 28, 2026, BGJWC worked with CG2B3C partners, Community Development Network of Maryland (CDN) and the Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) to host the Inaugural Environmental, Environmental Justice & Climate Justice All-Candidates Forum
Video 3 – Nurturing a New Generation: Young Adult Engagement 
BGJWC creates a safe space for undergrad and graduate students to experience interning with a grassroots nonprofit at the intersection of adult literacy, green career development, climate resiliency and co-op development while gaining professional competencies that prepare them to excel in green careers.
Video 4 – Adult Literacy & Workforce Development
BGJWC in partnership with the City of Abraham Church & Ministries runs The North Avenue Learning Initiative, a Saturday ABE/GED Class that provides a safe place for adult learners to gain the competencies they need to pass all four sections of the GED Exam.
Over the past year, BGJWC has partnered with adult learning curriculum experts to design and pilot an ABE/GED curriculum that fuses Offshore Wind & Related Industries awareness and career pathway options.
Video 5 – Building Community – Internationally
BGJWC’s Building Bridges from Dar es Salaam to Baltimore Initiative connects residents of frontline communities in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Baltimore, Maryland, to foster cultural exchange, strengthen global partnerships, and share innovative strategies for building climate resilience.
Video 6 – GIS Technology as an Organizing Tool
Through a partnership with AGU’s Thriving Earth Exchange, BGJWC is collaborating with a GIS support team (a BGJWC Board member, a BGJWC GIS Fellow, an AGU Thriving Earth Exchange Program Manager and GIS interns) to introduce CG2B3C partners to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and support them in creating their own interactive GIS StoryMaps.
Video 7 – Offshore Wind & Related Industries Worker Safety Pre-Apprenticeship
BGJWC is seeking to funding and/or corporate sponsorship support to launch Cohort 3 of its Offshore Wind & Related Industries Worker Safety Pre-Apprenticeship.
Video 8 – BGJW Co-op Launch 
The word “cooperative” is in our name because BGJWC’s long-term goal has always been to launch a separate co-op owned by community residents to build community wealth. Since our inception in 2022, BGJWC has been working steadily toward this goal.
