Hooo Hooo Whoo’s Melissa?
Melissa Acuti currently works for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources as the Chief of Interpretation with the Maryland Park Service. Melissa has her Bachelors degree in Biology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and her Masters degree in Environmental Biology from Hood College. Melissa‘s interests include tagging Monarch butterflies during their fall migration, as well as studying the Northern Saw-whet Owl’s migration in Maryland.
Melissa, like most of the other people involved with the NHSM, is a volunteer, so the fee you pay will go directly to support the programs, the nature collections, and the building that make this kind of education possible. Please consider donating or becoming a member of the Natural History Society of Maryland and visit www.marylandnature.org for more information. Thank you for your support!
