The Chesapeake Bay Program’s Stewardship Workgroup invites you to join our quarterly meeting on Tuesday, September 29th from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. We welcome anybody who shares the Stewardship Workgroup’s mission of increase public participation in stewardship actions that contribute positively to lands, waters, wildlife, fisheries and communities throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed. You do not have to have attended a Workgroup meeting before to attend!

- Lightning Talk #1: Kelly Slippey of Lancaster Conservancy will discuss the success of Lancaster Water Week and how the celebration brings together partners and community members to connect with and care for over 1,400 miles of streams and rivers across Lancaster County.
- Lighting Talk #2: Virginia Witmer of the Virginia Coastal Zone Management Program will discuss the Plant Virginia Natives Initiative, specifically the regional native plant marketing campaign and the creation of regional plant guides which have helped the initiative grow greatly over the past 17 years.
