The Sustainability Coordinator Role
Reports To: Executive Director
Status: Full-time (40 hours/week), Salaried (Exempt)
Salary: $60,000- 65,000 annually, depending on experience
RegenAll are seeking a York-based Sustainability Coordinator to drive our expansion into York County. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, leading local event operations, spearheading community outreach, establishing foundational programming, and managing local staff to meet the unique needs of York County.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide strategic direction for York-based initiatives, leading the development and rollout of a countywide Community Resilience Plan in partnership with the Executive Director, Founder, and key community stakeholders.
- Oversee and execute all York-based event operations—including monthly meetups (Carbon Neutral Coffee, Green Drinks), local workshops, Earth Day activities, and York’s participation in RegenAll’s annual Climate Summit.
- Actively build trust and long-term relationships with local nonprofits, businesses, municipal leaders, and diverse community groups across York County to tailor programming to local needs.
- Provide strategic direction for the rollout of foundational RegenAll initiatives in York County (such as Climate Action Neighborhoods and local volunteer networks) guiding and supporting the York Program Manager in their direct implementation.
- Supervise, onboard, and support the incoming York Program Manager and guide local volunteer teams to ensure aligned, impactful delivery of programs.
- Partner with the Director of Communications and Development to provide local success stories, photos, and updates for newsletters, social media, and grant reporting.
- Expanding RegenAll’s financial capacity in York by securing grants and individual donors
- Engage in regular Core Team meetings and strategic planning sessions to align on organizational goals.
- Partner with the Executive Director on additional strategic initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be based in or a current resident of York County, with deep local roots and established relationships across local government, civic groups, small businesses, and environmental organizations.
- Proven ability to inspire action and facilitate public meetings, workshops, and group discussions across diverse community groups.
- 3+ years of nonprofit experience with a track record of supervising staff, interns, or volunteers using a supportive, coaching-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated success driving complex projects forward independently, tracking deliverables, and maintaining alignment with organizational goals.
- Excellent written and verbal skills for formal correspondence, community outreach, and collaborative feedback.
- The ability to drive projects forward independently within defined parameters, while staying highly aligned with overall organizational goals.
- Skilled in Google Workspace, project management software, and CRMs (GiveButter experience is a plus). Must have a reliable personal computer and high-speed internet for daily remote work.
- Ability to interact with and foster positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness to work occasional mornings, evenings, and weekends for community events.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel across York and Lancaster counties, with the physical ability to transport event supplies and work outdoors as needed.
