About You

Background:

A graduate of Shepherd University's Resource Management concentration, I founded Patriot Land and Wildlife Management Services, Inc. (www.patriotlwm.com) in 2005 to address the varying needs of clients involving land, water and wildlife management. The multi-faceted company is designed to handle tasks ranging from wetland mitigation, ecological restoration and aquatics management to wildlife control or improvement. In my opinion there has been a disconnect between the needs of a well rounded property management program and a company able to provide all the needed skills to carry it out. We have the ability to complete a tree mitgation project and in the same turn design a quality deer management program to insure the trees survival, then turn around the next day and solve the properties aquatic issues.

Our clients include private landowners, homeowners associations and government agencies among others. We are licensed in pesticide application in multiple situations including wetlands. We are also a licensed Maryland deer cooperator, wildlife damage control operator, sediment and errosion control contractor and are stormwater facility managment certified just to name a few.

We have developed a niche in developing community based deer management solutions to address the growing deer human conflict in the urban fringe. We manage wildlife programs on over 5000 acres of agricultural ground in Montgomery and Frederick Counties and have helped design deer donation programs that have fed thousands in the Captial area. I am also the founder of the Western Chesapeake Watershed Branch of the Quality Deer Management Association, a non-profit conservation organization promoting the managed health of the countrys deer herd.

Our most exciting work to date includes our involvement in the design and installation of BioHaven Floating Treatment Wetlands (http://patriotlwm.com/biohaven-floating-islands), an innovative technology that has huge implications in the Chesapeake Watershed. Their habitat creation and water treatment potential will no doubt involve us in many fun and exciting projects in the near future.

My other life:

In my other life I am a professional firefighter for the District of Columbia as well as a volunteer Captain at the Kentland Volunteer Fire Department in PG County, MD. I am also the General Manager of the DC Generals Police and Fire Charity Football team (www.dcgeneralsfootball.org) which plays full contact football across the Country to raise money for charity.
