A lifelong Marylander who grew up crabbing along the Chesapeake Bay, Amy Pelsinsky has seen first-hand the changes in the environment in her home state and now works to raise awareness of the science being done to help preserve and improve the world around us. As Director of Communications for the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, she manages public relations, publications, brand awareness, website content, and social media for the university’s network of research laboratories. She is also a Climate Change Professional (CC-P), certified by the Association of Climate Change Officers and the State of Maryland.
