MobilizeGreen is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that jumpstarts green careers for diverse young people who want to change the world. MobilizeGreen provides a unique service by creating access to a highly qualified pool of diverse applicants to its partners. On March 28-29, 2019, the MobilizeGreen Annual Conference and Diversity Career Fair will take place in Washington, DC at American University. The 2-day event will bring together diverse talent from across the country, connecting them with employers seeking to engage and hire youth.
On March 29, 2019, MobilizeGreen will hold its diversity career fair as part of its conference to help employers identify and recruit the next generation of diverse leaders. The career fair will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm (or longer depending on employer needs) at American University, and will include diverse conservation and environmental leaders interested in pursuing internship and career opportunities with agencies, businesses, and organizations. ➢ What types of students will be attending the fair?
There will be an array of pre-selected diverse students and recent graduates, particularly those with environmental STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics)-related majors. They will come from colleges and universities from several major geographic regions and schools with top natural resource management programs. Diversity will include gender, ethnic, and life experiences, including veterans and LGBT.

MobilizeGreen will recruit and pre-select diverse students and recent graduates from across the country, including from minority and majority-serving Institutions, with strong forestry, natural resource management, recreation, water resources, and environmental education programs, among others, so employers have access to highly qualified talent- pool in one location.
ABOUT MOBILIZEGREEN
MobilizeGreen is curating the conference and career fair. Since 2014, MobilizeGreen, a District of Columbia-based national nonprofit, has been helping government agencies and other employers to train, recruit, place diverse young people in environmental and green internships and careers, particularly green STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics)-related fields. Through the use of mentoring, internships and engagement, MobilizeGreen helps employers build a talent pool of tomorrow’s diverse leaders, using a results-driven approach that removes barriers, creates career opportunities, and then supports and follows the young person’s progress.
